Volcano Vaporizer – How to use (with bong)

by Buddy Vapesit

An experienced volcano user shows what works best.

In this video, I will show you how to solve a problem that can affect any Volcano Vaporizer’s [registered trademark of Storz & Bickel] airflow deliver system. While replacing the air filter CAN help restore airflow, with a pinched internal tube, airflow can be as low as 10% without even having the filter installed. The DIY way to alleviate this problem is to open the unit and carefully install a properly-bent aluminum can tab. The OFFICIAL method would be to send the unit back to Storz & Bickel. Check out en.wikipedia.org for more information on Volcano’s. PS Apolla (the vape) loves showing her insides to strangers around the globe! Yes, that’s right, a better way to fix those collapsed tubes. Important note from Storz & Bickel: “We often receive machines for repair that people have opened, hoping a pinched tube was their problem, too. Usually, this is not the case, but in opening their machine, they void the warranty, and sometimes damage the thermostat in the process. The thermostat is located behind the knob, and if the knob is not removed before the shell is taken off, the spring mechanism can be damaged. While we appreciate your intent, it is important to consider the bigger issue. IF YOU INFORM PEOPLE THEY WILL VOID THE WARRANTY AND FURTHER DAMAGE THEIR MACHINE FOR A PROBLEM THAT WOULD BE FIXED FOR FREE, IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR EVERYONE.” So, please do not attempt this unless your warranty is expired or you’re really adventurous. I’m not personally sure what the

@guitarmonkey1990 You are a complete moron. You have any idea what drugs have done for music? If you think drugs haven’t done anything good then go burn all your records.

@666StoneSour666

Strong shit, actually if you smoke enough and you freak out, i think it consider over dosing. Every day use is different you get useto. But if you stop for a month or so and then start back with alot of pot, you’ll mind will freak out if you do enough.

jcer93705 October 27, 2010 at 5:14 am

@guitarmonkey1990

Sir most people do it because they need it. In California it is legal to smoke/vape marijuana if you have a cannabis card. It is hard to get a card if you cant prove it that you’re sick. But if you’re sick and you have med for you’re sickness and show them doctor notes then you need cannabis. Cannabis is a medicine for many things. Believe or not.

Vapor bong! Dope!

mongetkyoushinobi October 27, 2010 at 9:22 am

@jcer93705 doubtful, science hasnt actually found a overdose limit, but people just seem to guess that. and if you can still move after smoking that much weed, then all you’re getting is schwag man,

jcer93705 October 27, 2010 at 9:26 am

@mongetkyoushinobi
I smoke alot 🙂

mongetkyoushinobi October 27, 2010 at 10:01 am

@jcer93705 lol you have to smoke like 1/3 of your own body weight for that bud.

Garrito12 October 27, 2010 at 10:54 am

yeah im preety sure the only way you can overdose on weed is if you smoke 4,000 lbs in an hour.

CapnBooBoo October 27, 2010 at 11:46 am

how many bags a day do you do with this thing man?

djmurph240 October 27, 2010 at 12:08 pm

just a tip.. would be common sense to unplug the device before opening it to maintain it. lol

Uchuuneko October 27, 2010 at 12:15 pm

Shiner Bock sucks.

Drink real beer – it’s cheap, and we’re surrounded by it.

Nice video. Did you see claypool at bonaroo? That’s a great dvd.

ViolentVendetta October 27, 2010 at 12:37 pm

when you have to solve problems with such an expensive vapo, why should i pay 400€??

redsully October 27, 2010 at 12:59 pm

According to the manufacturer, most of the time air flow restrictions are NOT caused by pinched tubes. And, opening up your volcano voids the warranty… I have no official numbers on this, but have done it to more than one Volcano myself.

redpenguin01 October 27, 2010 at 1:55 pm

Hey bro.. what tools did you use to remove the shell?

RadderBBurnin October 27, 2010 at 2:54 pm

has anyone ever had to replace the green air button on their volcano…. can you suggest a good way to get it free so i can replace it??

Cheers
RBB

viperhelix October 27, 2010 at 3:45 pm

how prevalent is this? is it common for the inner tubes to collapse? what are the symptoms of this. thanks

redsully October 27, 2010 at 3:55 pm

True, but…

redsully October 27, 2010 at 4:21 pm

Yeah…. mine’s been to Bonnaroo three times – took some lickin’s, keeps on a-tickin.

NoiseNotLove517 October 27, 2010 at 4:56 pm

it COMES WITH CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS, fucking read. it even has little pictures for people like you.

Cruzex3 October 27, 2010 at 5:14 pm

dude your cool!!!
good post

eltotoX October 27, 2010 at 5:59 pm

Agreed. To be fair, though, it is one of the very few flaws in its design, as these can go through years of heavy use without problems.

acetone October 27, 2010 at 6:22 pm

I used a Torx T8 bit to open it.

gl1production October 27, 2010 at 6:41 pm

just make sure it works when you buy it i have had 2 vapes and both of them took a hella beating and still work great

rspencer1220 October 27, 2010 at 7:18 pm

Im thinking about buying a used volcano, do they have problems very often? How likely is it that this used one may have some problem?

SuuperNouva October 27, 2010 at 7:21 pm

pretty shitty that such a expensive device has such a obvious design flaw.

sshere October 27, 2010 at 8:15 pm

I have the same question here.

viperhelix October 27, 2010 at 9:03 pm

Hey redsully, thanks for the look inside. could u do a video, to show how to properly put on a fresh bag, and also, how to keep the volcano clean so that it operates like when first out of the box. e.g. show how to clean and what needs tobe cleaned. thanks again mate

aeon2012 October 27, 2010 at 9:15 pm

What kind of screw bit do I need to open the volcano? It seems like it’s using some kind of security bit.

djhenyo October 27, 2010 at 9:20 pm

and shiner bock rules, one of the few good things ever to come from TX.

djhenyo October 27, 2010 at 10:11 pm

What version of the volcano is that? I am assuming it is either 1.0 or 2.0. I will be getting the 3.0 version (new in 2007, different motor and air filtration added). I am assuming that with the new model the internal workings must be somewhat different. And not to be an ass, but the volcano doesn’t “burn” unless it is used improperly, which you obviously have not been.

fodi420 October 27, 2010 at 10:28 pm

thanks a million.

Shingo420 October 27, 2010 at 11:21 pm

your the one with your volcano… nobody can answer your questiong better then you… take it apart.. and look inside… as u can tell in the video its a very possible thing

xsjado497 October 27, 2010 at 11:54 pm

does this happen to the vape right away? I remeber… well sorta haha. but the first few bags i filled with my volcano filled really fast. faster than it does now. did that happen to mine?
